Joann + Matt | Portland Wedding Photographer

While photographing weddings you get to meet a lot of couples and also have the opportunity to learn something about them.  A few things I learned about Joann and Matt on their wedding day is that they totally love each other, love to laugh, they have many great friends, enjoy music, and they are passionate about their coffee.  A first for me was during the ceremony when Joann and Matt poured their own jars of coffee beans into a single jar to make a new and authentic blend all their own.  A “blend” I believe they will be enjoying for the rest of their lives.  After the ceremony, there was a coffee house inspired theme complete with live music performed by friends and family.  Guests sat on blankets, sipped coffee/wine/juice, and listened to the live music as the sun set behind the beautiful country hills of Sandy, Oregon.  We had a lot of fun that day and I hope that through  the photographs, Joann and Matt will remember the joy, the love, and the beautiful details from their wedding day.

Jon Rouston Very nice, lovely setting, so jealous of you in the states being allowed outdoors weddings. Love the monogamy wine as well!

Ruth So lovely… it’s like a day in the park. I enjoy your perspective of things, how you play with the wide angle and shoot at torso-level for a few of those shots. The kissing under the trees feels so intimate, too. I adore this set.
