Miller Family Photographs

I met up with a dear friend from college while she and her family were up visiting relatives in Portland.  Laura and I attended University of Oregon years ago and have some funny memories of those days back then.  It was so fun to meet her daughter Aelis for the first time and catch up with her sweet husband David.  We spent the afternoon walking around the Portland Rose Garden, during which my primary camera died and I was forced to use my backup camera :)/:(  It was disappointing, but in the end I am thankful to have had backup for this special session.

admin Rosie – yes it’s David. They were up visiting from California and it was awesome to see them again! Two weeks prior to this session, my 5D had been giving me troubles, so I shipped it to Canon and it returned back with the same issues, grrrr. I was determined to use it for the Millers photographs, but it just would not function properly (long story). Needless to say, I was not able to use my full frame for but a few shots. I’m happy to say that my camera is NOW back to normal, thanks to my hubby who figured out and remedied the situation. Maybe Canon should hire him 🙂

Laura – Thank YOU for being so patient with me and the camera situation. Seriously, though it was so nice to spend time with you guys. Your family is so sweet!

McNicoll Family Photographs

During our entire session, these adorable children spoke French and I found myself trying to interpret what I could from my days of French study long ago.  They told me that this is the language they speak together in the home.  I was so impressed!

Reviewing these pictures from this beautiful summer day and the fact that today is the first day of fall makes me already miss the summer.

Au revoir été…

McNicoll’s, here are a few sweet peaks from your session.

Three generations

Grandma and granddaughter

Happy grandparents

Ingrid + Frederick

I loved her shoes and little toes.  I used to have a pair of these salt water sandals  long ago.

Naomi Wood What a beautiful family! The photo of Renee, Ingrid and Ainsley is my favorite. I also think the one of Ingrid and Frederick in B&W is stunning.
